Privacy policy.

TechBuilds designs, builds and runs its own software products. This policy is from TechBuilds, the operator of techbuilds.win and of Simply, our teleprompter and camera app.

You can read techbuilds.win without giving us your name or email.

If you request early access, we store:

• The email address you enter.
• Which product you asked about.
• The page you submitted the form from.
• The time you submitted it.
• The country code our host, Cloudflare, associates with your connection.

We do not add your IP address to that sign-up record.

This website sets no cookies. It runs no advertising and no analytics trackers. Pages are static files. The only script is our own, and it runs the menu, the page and the early-access form. It does not identify you.

Cloudflare hosts the site. To deliver pages and block abuse, Cloudflare processes connection data such as your IP address, your browser and the time of the request. We do not use that data to build a profile of you or to advertise.

If you email [email protected] or [email protected], we receive the message, including your address, the contents and any attachments, so we can reply. Cloudflare routes those messages to the TechBuilds team.

Simply is our teleprompter and camera app. It is in invite-only beta.

Sign-in

You sign in with Google, or with a one-time code sent to your email. We use that sign-in to check that you were invited and to recognise you when you return. The sign-in tells us the email address for your account. If the sign-in also sends a display name, we use it only to show your account in the app.

If you choose Google, Google processes that step under Google's privacy policy (opens external link in new tab).

Scripts and recordings

Your scripts, folders, version history and recordings stay on your phone. We do not upload them. Writing, reading and recording work without a connection.

Sharing

When you share a video, your phone hands the file to the app you choose. From that moment, that app handles the file under its own policy.

Phone permissions

Simply uses your camera and microphone while you record. If you lock the app, it uses your phone's own screen lock. The floating prompter needs permission to appear on top of other apps. Those permissions stay on your device.

We use early-access sign-ups to send your invite and to write when a TechBuilds product has something worth your time. We write when there is something to say, and we stop when you ask us to.

We use messages you send us to answer you. We use a Simply sign-in to let an invited person into the app. We use host connection data to run the website and keep it secure.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use it to train AI models.

Where the law asks us for a reason, we rely on one of these:

• You asked us to take a step for you, such as sending an invite, answering an email or signing you into Simply.
• We need the information to run and protect the website.
• A law requires us to keep or disclose something.

We keep an early-access sign-up until you ask us to delete it, or until we no longer need it to send the invite and the product updates you requested.

We keep emails you send us for as long as we need them to handle your request. We then delete them, unless a legal duty requires us to keep a copy.

We keep a Simply sign-in record while your account is open. When you ask us to delete the account, we delete that record. Scripts and recordings stay on your phone until you delete them in the app or remove the app.

Cloudflare keeps its own connection logs under its policies. We do not run a separate analytics archive.

A few providers help us operate:

• Cloudflare hosts techbuilds.win, stores early-access sign-ups and routes email to us. Cloudflare's policy is at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy (opens external link in new tab).
• Google processes Google sign-in if you choose it for Simply.
• The app you pick when you share a video from Simply receives the file you send it.

These providers process information to perform that service, or under their own policy when you deal with them directly.

We disclose information when the law requires it, or when we need it to protect TechBuilds, our users or someone else from harm.

Cloudflare can process website and email data in the United States and in other countries where Cloudflare operates. Google sign-in is processed by Google. Your scripts and recordings stay on your phone and are not part of that processing.

The website is served over HTTPS. Access to sign-up records and to support email is limited to the people who run TechBuilds. If we learn of a breach that affects your information, we will tell you when the law requires it.

You can use the website without requesting early access.

To stop product email, reply to any message from us and ask us to stop, or email [email protected] from the same address. We will stop those emails. We may still write when we need to about a request you made or about your account.

To see, correct or delete the information we hold, email [email protected] from the address you used and tell us what you want. We will answer within 30 days.

European Economic Area and the United Kingdom

You can ask us to limit how we use your information, to object to a use based on our need to run the service, or to receive a copy in a portable format. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

India

You can ask us for access to your personal data, for a correction or for erasure, and for the names of the parties we have shared it with. Write to [email protected]. You can also raise a grievance with the Data Protection Board of India.

California

You can ask us to know, correct or delete personal information we hold. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

TechBuilds products are made for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe we have, email [email protected] and we will delete it.

We will post any change on this page and update the date below. If a change affects how we use your email, we will say so in the next email we send you.
